I sweat buckets even when It’s cold. Right now I’m living in the Middle East and my sweating is out of control. My clothes are essentially soaked. I understand that to an extent, sweating (especially in hot places) is important to staying cool, but at this point I feel as though I’m sweating to the point of dehydration (even though I’m drinking more water than I probably should) and on a less important but more embarrassing note, my clothes, as I said earlier, are almost fully wet after just an hour of wearing them. Antiperspirant doesn’t work (and I can’t cover my body in it), and I’ve already done my best to invest in the most heat friendly breathable fabric I can, and the issue still isn’t mitigated. Any advice?
Sweating too much, how do you deal with it?

Okay few questions.
1.Are you on anti depressants?
2., how hydrated are you? Not water but salts.
3. Last time you went to the doc and had blood work done? And /or thyroid looked at. Thyroid issues can easily lead to problems with temperature regulation.
4. What material are you clothes made od? Highly synthetic fibres don’t allow airflow in well and can cause overheating and sweating.
Have you tried seeing a medical professional about this? If you think your amount of sweating might be quite extreme even for the environment, it probably wouldn’t hurt to get checked? Hyperhidrosis is a legitimate condition that is worth looking into if it’s making you feel this uncomfortable.
I’m *not* a medical professional at all, but going to see one for an opinion wouldn’t be the worst idea.
There are plenty of other factors it could be, and I don’t want to scare you with the first thing I suggest being medical. I work outside most weekdays in the UK (archaeology) and we currently have a brutal heatwave where everyone is sweating buckets.
If you’re sweating this much then you will be losing essential nutrients and will need to keep them topped up, so please just be careful on that front. On the warmest days here, I take an electrolyte tablet with my water just to help replace those nutrients, as I also admittedly don’t have the healthiest diet to replace them. Definitely be careful, and I hope you find the answer OP
Check your thyroid and blood pressure
Perhaps see a doctor?
The people there wear linen for a reason.
I have a chronic lung issue, so my gf got me a cooling fabric…12 bucks in the drug store in middle europe
It’s basically just a fabric which is smooth on one side and max surface on the other side
If you make it wet, shake it until drops stop falling and just put it back to front on your shoulders…
The max surface side evaporates water, which takes heat energy from the smooth surface…which is 12x more than a dry surface can transport heat energy…
For the apartment, get a ‘taifun box vent 30cm’…it’s way more efficient than the stand vents and runs longer without issues…1 per 30m² worked best for me…arround 35 bucks usually, growshops are a bit cheaper but in some countries its a bit risky to buy there…
I don’t
I just sweat and complain internally
Is the problem the sweating itself, or the sweaty smell? If it’s the smell use deodorant and fragrances.
Get a fan for your desk at work, ( I love my usb desk fan) also weirdly do you find you sweat more or less if you shower? I personally find there’s almost a stimulus response thing for me if I’ve showered and have wet hair in the heat. I start to sweat, the extra water in my hair drips because of it, and I feel like I’m sweating more than I probably should, then anxiety kicks in leading to more sweat… basically maybe dry off extra well if you’re not already. Extra short hair might also be to your benefit.
Consuming salt can help. Mainly, get wicking shirts.
Diet
Don’t just drink water, throw some electrolytes in there.
When it’s hot I just accept I’m going to sweat – everyone else is, I use deodorant rather than antiperspirant because I hate the sticky feeling, I shower a couple of times a day – sometimes remembering “this too shall pass” and accepting something is just easier.
