I mean, I dunno. It depends on what that WW3 looks like and how it would affect my country. I’m in the UK so I guess it’s a mixed bag – NATO and prime nuke target, but also relatively safer because of good infrastructure, centuries of war lessons, and deterrence through alliances.
I’d stockpile food, medicine and water. Stay indoors more. Be active online in giving advice and info to people (assuming internet hasn’t been knocked out). I’d do humanitarian work, helping refugees or evacuated children. Grow my own vegetables if there are shortages of food.
I wouldn’t relocate because I’m in a rural area that is as about as safe as it gets in the UK.
I’m not sure I’d bother with air raid shelters. Maybe I would. I dunno. We don’t have any such shelters in my vicinity. I guess we’ll be left to our own devices and I’d have to lock myself in a cupboard room if there’s an aerial threat.
As for global nuclear war, honestly, I’m heading straight to London where I can just be fried into a radioactive pancake. I’m not interested in playing Hunger Games in an ugly nuclear wasteland.
My family has some property in some “safe(r)” locations (different countries). My mom planned for this a couple years ago after getting worried about teargas particles poisoning our dogs (and no, we didn’t/don’t live anywhere near areas that use teargas)…. Anyhow, so she got some places we could relatively easily/quickly send our dogs/animals and have a bit of shelter ourselves.
Yeah.. she’s a bit… like that.
Oh, and I’m not from US or any (other) crazy country.. So I rather doubt my country would get involved/dragged into any stupid shit honestly.
Use my knowledge of history and experience of life to know that stuff happens and then time passes and then other stuff happens. Worst comes to worst, life changed and continued even after the asteroid hit and took out the environment the dinosaurs depended on.
Speaking of, there’s not going to be a world war anytime soon. Do you see 30+ countries going at it right now? And that was WW1. WW2 was around 70 countries. I do not think there are that many countries right now who are interested in all-out global war.
Are you very young? It’s just that the people I see online who are being weird right now about a world war and/or the draft tend to be very young, quite ignorant, and their brains have been poisoned by social media.
take a leave of absence from work, stay home most of the time, pretty much live on my phone, and binge more shows and movies. probably masturbate a lot more.

Ride it out until I get blown to smithereens by a nuke.
Try to remember as much as I can to tell stories to my kids and grandkids
Insert the Harry Potter scene – I’ll be in my bedroom, making no noise and pretending that I don’t exist!!
Roll with it and find out, I guess.
The answer is and always has been resist.
probably go fishing
