My gf is being physically and emotionally abused by both her parents to an extreme extent. After months of tolerating it I intervened and her mom went apeshit. I don’t think I can go to the police because they’ll go to jail and she has a younger brother that needs parents. I have countless minutes of voice recordings as proof of what is going on. Next time I’m showing up to their place to try to sort it out myself again but I highly doubt I can have an impact on this matter. What the actual fuck do I do ?

Hi I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this along with your gf. Unfortunately this type of situation will involve legality because they just aren’t in safe spaces but if you’re willing , I would say let your gf live with you along her sibling so they can be safe if your parents are okay with it. I can see you care for her a lot and I’m sure someone will have better advice, but make sure to treat her wounds and take her to the doctor if she gets severely injured (same with her sibling). Keep her safe and just be there for her.

If your girlfriend is 19, isn’t she considered an adult in your country?
To say you cant to to the police is insane, if she (an adult who can move out) is getting physically abused what makes you think her young brother isnt? Does he deserve abusive parents or proper care… make a smart choice
For the sake of the younger kid you should go to police
And you should let them take over
Your gf also needs therapy as well as the sibling.
This is a shame that especially the young kid experiencing this, they are damaging him/her.
Grown ass people should deal with grown ass people such as police/court and they should pay what they caused back.
To prevent further damage to the kids; society they should be tamed by the laws
