I once made the mistake of telling my girlfriend that I had dreamt about a mutual friend. And although it was nothing sexual in her mind she took it that if I was dreaming about this other girl that it meant that I had feelings for her. (So we spent the whole day arguing, or at least she did because after a while I just stopped listening to her).🤔🤷🏻♂️😬🤦🏻♂️😂
Not sure about dumbest in general, but yesterday one guy on reddit tried to convince me he’s straight if he’s usually more attracted to women, but still sleeps with guys from time to time. Reddit being reddit lol.
“There’s no air con in this car”
“What about that A/C button?”
“Nope, it’s not air con, it’s only a fan”
At some point, I just gave up. In 17 years, my wife only admitted being wrong 3 times. Later that day, she resented me for (quote) “ending the discussion instead of explaining why I thought she was wrong”
Some guy ended up sitting at the same table as my wife and I kept going about some smoothie machine and how it added nutrient to his food. My wife (who has some expertise in the field in nutrition) told him that wasn’t true and he got all enraged, and eventually ended up taking a swing at me. Insane.
A friend argued with me vehemently that latin is a dead language and that means it can’t be spoken. I tried to explain that a dead language just means it has no native speakers. They doubled down. This was in the age of Google. I don’t talk to this person anymore because this happened a lot lol. It may be some form of compulsive lying or something. I can’t understand why people do this.
When I wasn’t able to work on putting a puzzle together correctly. To clarify it was the way I was doing it that was wrong and I kept messing him up by simply picking up and trying different pieces. My sections of the puzzle were in fact put together correctly. (Im not a guy, but it was too dumb not to share)
one time I had an argument with someone who thought the sun was a triangle. someone else hopped in and said the sun was a square. at that point I just watched in disbelief
Not like the typical argument over kill stealing or arguing about weather or not my ping was the cause of my death or if I just made a bad play.
Have a buddy that LOVES fighting and RTS games. I’m a dude that likes to play FPS, and single player open world RPG games. we have no cross over games we can ever agree to play. We were hanging out at my house one time last year, and we were just trying to figure out what to do or what to play. I mentioned that we could play something easy like running through the Halo campaigns or we could go hit the pool hall around the corner form me.
Friend offers to buy me one of the fighting games he’s been addicted to (and could probably break into the AM scene if he wanted to) and I politely told him “I appreciate the offer, but I have to pass on that. I’m not even remotely interesting in playing fighting games. They’re fun to watch, but that’s about it.” Then offered a bunch of other games I either didn’t have or weren’t available on Game Pass. I looked at him with the “We’ve had this conversation before” look.
He went off on me saying I needed to grow up and start branching out to new games and new genres. I told him that we just don’t like the same games. I play what I’m comfortable with and I play what’s easiest to pick up and play without much thought when I’ve had a long day at work. Dude would not drop it the rest of the day. Acted like I somehow slighted his mom or something when it’s something as simple as “we just don’t like the same types of games, and that’s okay.”
Dude, still tries too “force me” to branch out. He recently bought me about 25-30$ worth of fighting and RTS games on steam (that was on sale). The two types of games I LOATH. Like I appreciate the gifts of games, but legit, I’m never going to play them.
I hope he reads this. G, stop trying to get me to play games I don’t like to play. You don’t get to decide any of that for me. We’re in our mid 30’s. Fucking drop it already.
Ex argues against me concerns that there’s no first aid kit (“I can always run to my neighbour for help”), no fire extinguisher (“I’ll just call fire dept and run out, extinguisher is in the way”), and there’s a light switch inside the wet areas her bathroom (“switch cover gets dirty”).
idk why the last one happened at her rental, it’s against building and electric codes.
She even said “did you say that out your ass”
I had to remind her I am trained in architecture where I learnt about electrical and fire safety, and also first aid trained. That whatever I told her was told to me by the professor.
She said it’s not needed to get first aid kit, extinguisher, or get a switch cover. For the sake of her literal life I had to convince her in a strangely heated argument.
She finally agreed. One of the less than 10 times in 2 years she took my suggestions

That the equipment wasn’t powered on… It’s right there… The power button was orange… It’s blue when powered on.
People like this ensure that I will always have employment but dammit sometimes IT work can be frustrating.
I lost a friend in middle school arguing about whether Mac’s or PC’s were better.
I argued with my Mum because she said birds aren’t animals

Shit ton versus a shit load. My view is that a shit ton of stuff is a very heavy amount of things while a shit load is a large number of things.
The other guy considered them the same and interchangeable.
Idiot…

Myself and my class, started quite a long argument, about whether a tennis ball was green or yellow. We were in 2nd grade.
No clue, but I can pretty much guarantee it played out on Reddit

Australian here.
I’ve bumped into a lot of political Conservatives a lot in recent years. Both online and in real life.
Most have no idea how unhinged they sound.
Especially the ones who turn a blind eye to Nazis.
I’m Aussie. We don’t tolerate them.
