One of the things my MIL did & still does after NO CONTACT is..

r/

My mother-in-law… a diagnosed psychopath (yes, that was the diagnosis from our therapist)
used to light candles for me in church, in the section for the DEAD.

In our religion, you pray for the living in one part of the church…
and for the dead in another.
Guess where she placed my name?

Even after two years of no contact, the harassment continues.
She doesn’t stop.
And the police? They do nothing.

What is she doing to you besides lighting candles? Why does your therapist think she is a psychopath?

Has your therapist ever met your MIL? Did they actually use the word psychopath? I’d consider seeking a new therapist cause not only is that not an actual medical diagnosis, but you can’t diagnose someone you’ve never met. So you’re probably working with a quack.
