I must run. For the next 62 days, I must run atleast 1 mile a day in my goal to add 5 miles a week. Currently this week, my target is 25 miles, next week will be 30.
Shower in the morning, every day. Wakes me up and I like starting my days clean.
Have some sort of food in the morning, around noon and at night. The hangriness is real and I feel terrible when it affects others.
Lastly, some sort of brain-stimulating activity. Whether chess, crosswords, guitar, reading, writing, etc. Gotta keep sharp instead of just working then staring at the TV.
I started stretching every day a few years ago. Was in PT with a sports therapist because of some pain from working out, and they started me on a stretching routine and corrected my form for some things. Huge impact.
Having a conversation with my wife without the TV or phones as a distraction.
In my friend group chat we have a thing called Daily Summer Leg Log (dsll) we have to send of a picture of our legs and a song recommendation and we’ve never missed a day😛
The routine. I’m at the age where discipline and schedule rule over everything else. Each day the routine gets a little more refined to make it as efficient as possible. It’s just a mix of things that have worked for me over the years. It’s not to say I don’t have an off or down day but most days are the same.
Wake up, get out of bed and make it. Morning poop. Take the dogs out and let them run. While they run I do the dishes and make coffee and breakfast. Dogs come in and get fed. Shit, shine, shampoo. Get dressed for where the day will take me, either to work or wherever else I need to go. Do the things. Eat lunch. Do the things. Let the dogs out and feed them dinner. Cook myself dinner and eat. Clean up. Now it’s time to do something for our physical well being which ultimately leads to our mental well being. relax a bit and do something productive for the home or just piddle about. Shower. Put something on the TV and go to bed.
Shower, clean clothes, take my meds, brush my teeth, feed the cat, clean the litterbox, and get some outdoor time (whether that’s going for a walk, having a snack out on my deck, whatever)
Wake up , take my medication (soon testosterone I hope ) , eat some food , hydrate a bit , and take a shower or bath either in the morning or evening past 1 pm

Exercise – even if it’s Calisthenics and a walk (if away).
