Extremely complicated situation – Getting lost in the cause for creating a safe space for women

r/

There is a group of us who banded together and we basically act as a support group for women in our office, it has done a lot of good and I am extremely proud of my contribution to this cause. However, as time has gone by and more people have come to us, I have noticed that our center of focus has shifted from helping women in need to creating barriers for men in our office to be less successful, such as not sharing full project details in Figma, not informing them about certain changes and generally pushing men back at the workplace.

The main reason this is bothering me is because its straight up wrong, its not professional to play favorite to genders and I have seen people lose opportunities because of what we have done as a collective group lately.

However, the solution is not simple either, because if I report this to our superiors, the chances are all of these women will either be let go or receive some sort of punishment in the form of paycuts or demotions and I would hate to be the cause of pushing them back in their careers.

The one time I even hinted in our chat group that we should stop sabotaging men, the reaction to it was very aggressive and negative and I also fear losing my friend group.
