What are some short term and long term milestones you set for yourself?

r/

I 25M recently reached a position in my life that I never thought I would reach due to various reasons like mental health, financial issues and family issues. Not a metric I have for myself, but this isn’t what a lot of people call success but I do given everything I’ve been through. I feel, for the first time in my life, content with what I have. I can’t help shake this feeling that I’m not doing something or setting proper milestones and goals for myself. I’m trying to understand what men have as a baseline. So, what are some short term and long term milestones you set for yourself? And what have you achieved in the past?

7 year goal to pay off the house and have enough in my 401k where I don’t need to steadily invest anymore. (I probably still will) but I want the option

I’ve never had a 6pack even though i exercise daily. I turn 40 this year. So that’s the goal

Short term – improve cardio with cycling.

Long term – get back to my pre-covid weight / fitness level.

    I’m old, so…

    Short: getting out of bed.

    Long: getting back to bed.
