Like the headline – is it normal to not feel anything from kissing? I cant remember if I ever liked it or if this is something that happened over the past few years. I like other forms of intimacy or affection but I get bored while making out đź«Ą. Is this normal? Is my mouth missing nerve endings that everyone else has??

I think it’s okay! My husband doesn’t like French kissing and frankly, I don’t either. You’re allowed to make choices on what you like to do physically and it doesn’t make you abnormal for it.
Is this with any gender or just one in particular?
I remember really not particularly feeling anything about kissing men and didn’t understand the hype at all. I’d get bored at best and avoid it at worst.
Turns out I was just a lesbian and I do like kissing. I just have a very, very different experience with women.
I have wondered this exact thing. Kissing feels like nothing to me. I do it because the person I’m with likes it, but I don’t find it titillating in the slightest. Making out is a huge chore, and I find it soooo boring. It doesn’t help that it feels super gross–the mixture of spit and soft, slick flesh in and on my mouth just squicks me. I also do feel like I might not have enough nerves in my lips.
Kissing is a big turn on for me… when done right! I love the teasing soft kisses, warm closed mouth kisses, and finally kissing with a little tease of the tongue.
I have had some men give me tight-lip grandma kisses—rapid fires. Or, enough tongue to make me think I’m making out with a bulldog. Or, men with horrid oral hygiene that has made me avoid kissing altogether. So, I truly think it depends on your partner.
Normal doesn’t matter.
Normal just means average.
So, while it might be normal to like kissing, it is absolutely OK to not.
Normal doesn’t mean good. Abnormal doesn’t mean bad.
You don’t like kissing which means other people don’t either. You will find someone to not kiss with.
