People who lead with emotion are important to the way the world works, obviously. They have their uses. If we were all heartless, emotionless bastards the world would be even more screwed than it already is.
But I’ve gotta say, emotional thinkers are exhausting to be around. It’s frustrating having to walk on eggshells around a grown adult who might flip out on you after misinterpreting something you said or did in the worst possible way because their feelings got hurt somehow.
Especially in the context of debate and discussion, when you’re trying to have a rational or intelligent conversation about something and an emotional thinker swoops in with some ad hominem or projection or cramming thoughts and opinions you don’t have into your mouth because that’s how what you said made them feel it’s enough to make you want to just tap out altogether just because of how exhausting it is.
