Crazy In-Law Behaviour Yesterday

Ok this is a long one…

So we went no contact with FIL, MIL and Stepmom from March time multiple times we tried to set boundaries which were repeatedly broken (MIL was calling me toxic, saying she needs to get rid of me online etc. so we asked FIL and Stepmom to not feedback our lives to her, go figure they kept doing it anyways) so we decided cut off and no contact with them all as they were speaking weekly to discuss how bad a person I must be and their son needs to move back to where he is originally from with them.

Yesterday they turn up at our doorstep after three months no contact screaming and bawling at my fiancé (we got engaged May 23rd) that they needed to check he was okay and wasn’t getting harmed by me that I am controlling him and can’t accept a father – son relationship.

My partner texts me as I’m at work and I’m baffled that they drove a 6 hour round trip journey came unannounced and figured they can come all guns blazing to our home, they later disclosed they came during that time hoping to catch him and knowing I wasn’t going to be there.

Stepmom and me are messaging she says she recording the whole conversation and my partner is lying to me telling me he doesn’t want a relationship with them when really he does etc. I call her bluff ask her to send to me and mention its kinda weird she went in with the outlook “I knew this would happen so I recorded him as you would twist it”. She never sends this and frankly I don’t think this recording exists I think it was to make us argue and knock our trust.

She promises to send the recording if he calls his Dad and tells him himself he doesn’t want a relationship as it needs to come out of his own mouth, so he calls they spend half an hour calling me toxic, a nasty b*tch and my partner tells them you have treated her terrible for three years the one time she opens her mouth and asks you to not turn up unannounced after everything because its her home too and you are saying she is toxic for it? Their response, her saying she lives there is disrespectful to you and she needs to learn to shut her mouth… I am baffled not only at the whole saga but also this response!!

They then say you need to choose us or her, his response that is my fiancée how can you ask me that? They continue to say she’s not allowing you to have a voice, she is controlling you can’t you see it and he is like frankly not at all, I go where I want to I have gone abroad many times without her, she encourages me to follow my dream career and builds me up but no I’m just a “toxic b*tch”.

His Dad asks him so is this it then you’re choosing to stay and he said well it looks that way if I have to decide his Dad hangs up on him.

May I also add this happened 16 hours after we put out our wedding date (eloping privately due too the above circumstances already being there) and they have admitted to stalking our socials even though they are all blocked on everything and extended family etc. so I assume a fake account maybe who knows?

Will this be the end of it or just the beginning as it seems to me it was an attempt to break us and call off our wedding due to the spooky timing of no reason of event for them to have turned up like that after we post our wedding booked in and date…
