Original post got deleted but basically my roommate Sarah (24F) has been doing weird stuff since her boyfriend moved in without asking me first. I’m 22F btw.
So remember how I said she keeps leaving messes and then blaming me? Well it got worse. Yesterday I came home from work and found a note on my door from our landlord saying there were noise complaints about loud music at 2am on Tuesday.
Here’s the thing… I wasn’t even home Tuesday night. I was at my parents house helping my dad with something and didn’t get back until Wednesday afternoon. I have gas receipts and everything.
When I confronted Sarah about it she just shrugged and said “maybe it was the neighbors” but our walls are thick and the couple next door are like 70 years old. Plus I asked them and they said they didn’t hear anything.
Her boyfriend Kyle has been really hostile lately too. He ate my food AGAIN yesterday and when I said something he was like “you don’t own the fridge.” Sarah just stood there and didn’t say anything.
I’m starting to think they want me gone so he can officially move in and split rent two ways instead of three. The lease isn’t up until August and I can’t afford to break it early.
Should I talk to the landlord directly? I don’t want to seem like I’m causing drama but this is getting ridiculous. My anxiety is through the roof and I don’t feel comfortable in my own home anymore.

Talk to the landlord.
Yes talk to the landlord. Tell them the situation and that he moved in when he is not on the lease.
You should have BEEN spoken to the landlord. Every single time she involved your LL you should have spoken with them about everything going on, not even being there for the noise complaint, roommate’s boyfriend eating your all your food.
Now it’s more likely to seem you’re just trying to cover your ass but it’s still worth talking about. Do it sooner rather than later before this blows up in your face pls
Does the landlord even know he’s living there? If not ya I’d talk to them.
Show the proof to the landlord.
Talk to your landlord.
Show the receipts.
Talk about your roommates visitor.
