The Lancet recently published a study about estrogen and progestin being used together and that it might increase cancer risk for women under 55.
CBS, AOL, Yahoo and a million other places reporting on the study incorrectly wrote “progesterone” instead of “progestin.”
THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING

Millions of women under 55 are on an estrogen-progesterone combo, it is the most common combo for perimenopause symptom relief.
You want to replace your estrogen as soon as your body tells you that it is starting to lag around age 40 and up.
Replacing your estrogen keeps you from losing your bone density, and the collagen that takes care of your joints and your beautiful face, and your hair, and eventually your sanity (lol but not really).
Research says the estrogen by itself isn’t safe, gynecologists and clinics will give you progesterone along with it. That is the most common protocol currently.
CBS and etc reporting this wrong is very very bad and complicates an area that already is still muddied from back in 2002 when earlier research was disproven.
LADIES. You want estrogen. Your body is still on a timeline from hundreds of years ago when you were supposed to shrivel up and die about age 50. We don’t do that anymore. We’re still expected to keep our jobs and raise our kids. But our bodies haven’t caught up with that. They start chucking the estrogen before we’re done with it.
DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TAKE ESTROGEN FROM YOU.
Trust me. Keep an eye on this.
