It’s blind belief based on experience lol. I just feel like, in my life, without fail, too many good things have always been followed by bad things—and vice versa.
in a way. Not in a higher power way but in rings in the water way. If im nice, helpfull and kind people have a perception of me and are more likely to be nice, helpfull and kind torch me
I do not believe in karma in the mystical sense. It is not logical. That being said, when you are kind or hateful, that will spread to others. Not only that, it will affect society’s disposition toward you. This will affect your life in many ways. Everyone’s actions have a ripple effect. Your choices matter.
I believe in karma the same way I “believe” in astrology or superstitions or the Force. It’s entertaining, a fun thing to speculate about or joke about, but not seriously. It’s not real.
Case in point, if karma were real, Trump would have had explosive diarrhea on national television and dropped dead while foaming at the mouth and crying for his mommy.
Same reasons I believe in some kind of deity/power of the universe.
Nearly every society that has ever existed has believed in some variation of it.
I simply want to.
2 is the only valid philosophical reason according to one of my professors back in CC, but #1 I think of all the time. I enjoy feeling connected to shared ancestors, as far back as I can imagine.
when it comes to myself yes, when it comes to other people no. them evil mfs be thriving and i do one bad thing it comes back and bites me in the ass for yearssss
Because it’s one of the few things that keeps me from seeking revenge myself. I’d much rather live my life in peace and be patient, as I eventually see things blow up for those who have wronged me and others.
It’s definitely magical thinking, but I’d rather this than a guilty conscience after harming someone – even if they deserved it.
I believe in causational Karma because in my experience the universe tends to achieve equilibrium.
The best way to explain it is how friendship circles forged in school and college fragment. You tend to stay in contact with those most like yourself, and drop people who don’t reciprocate your energy in the ways you need them to. For instance,
The people who were pushy and aggressive compared to you, you dropped because who wants to feel bulldozed every time you hang out? Whereas, the people who were timid and passive compared to you, you dropped because you felt like you were dragging them through every interaction. No one wants to feel like they are the only one putting in the effort.
It’s not personal. It’s just that we gravitate toward those who match us, and in doing so, we create social ecosystems that mirror who we are. The same thing applies to each of them too. The result being that people surround themselves with those who reflect aspects of themselves in some capacity. You therefore tend to end up being treated in a way that reflects how you treat others.
That’s Karma in motion, it’s not the mystical cosmological karma, but it’s a similar concept; a self-correcting system where the energy you are putting out there finds its way back to you.
Friendships are just the easiest way for me to explain it, but this pattern plays out everywhere. That’s what Karma is to me, not a divine scorekeeping system some people think of, but a quiet, ever-turning wheel of response.
I absolutely do not believe in karma. Have you seen the state of the world and the people in charge and those that have the most wealth of time and resources?
What in the world would make you believe that karma actually happens?
Karma is like exercise. You won’t see the results right away but over time it makes itself known. You attract what you put out and I never used to believe in that because the opposite seems to be true but it just takes time.
I believe when bad people do bad things is CAN come back but that’s just life. It doesn’t always happen. Same with good people and good things. Life happens and they may or may not get what they deserve but when it happens, boy is it satisfying
I think coming from “a long line of spooky & difficult women,” I was raised to understand karma as the energy someone used to hurt me- be it physically or emotionally, being returned back to them. I don’t have to do anything grand. I feel the hurt and then I love myself through that; my healing journey is the karma, loving myself to a place that the other person doesn’t have access to me- is their karma… me, healed, meditating/ writing that everyone around this person will continue to become their best and highest self and they will always be who they are- is just a little razzle dazzle I add to make sure 💅🏾
I don’t think the world sees someone’s karma in action in every case (because we see bad people become successful all the time). I personally think it happens behind closed doors in many cases, that people have to live with their mistakes and the weight of what they did. They’re never truly happy because they have so much hate and negativity in their heart, and this affects their relationships. You can have as many accolades and as much money as possible but it doesn’t make you truly happy/fulfilled.
Because life is too short to be spiteful and petty over why something didn’t work out or feel that you are being used by others… sometimes you help A but person Z down the line will in turn pay you back and not A.

Yes. What comes around goes around.
It’s science. For every fundamental particle, exists an antiparticle. Like duality, or yin and yang.
Yes, very much so & have seen it in action.

that’s my las hope haha
I don’t. Bad people thrive. Good people suffer. There’s no rhyme or reason.

It’s my only hope that the people that have done evil shit will pay.
In this world everything is proportional

Last I checked, he was still alive

I used to.

It makes me feel better when people have wronged me lol
I don’t believe in karma as an external force. I do believe that there’s a limit to how shitty someone can be before it bites them in the arse.
I don’t. Good and bad shit happens to everyone.

Karma is just another way to victim blame

Coz it’s important here in reddit 😔
No, but I love the show My Name is Earl!
No. Though, I wish it was real.
Donald Trump is president. I don’t believe in Karma
I don’t, but I do think if you’re consistently a shitty person, you’ll piss enough people off and face consequences eventually.
Because it bit my ass before
Idk it just feels right. Like, if you keep putting out bad energy, it’ll find it’s way back to you eventually. Same with good.
I don’t. I serve it myself 😈

Karma is elusive. Some get punished, some don’t. But yeah, I do believe in it.

I dont. Good people suffer all the time for no reason.
I’d never be cruel enough to think they deserved it or that it was secretly somehow a good thing.
No. Look at the state of the world. Its pretty damn clear karma isn’t real.
Because life is too short to be spiteful and petty over why something didn’t work out or feel that you are being used by others… sometimes you help A but person Z down the line will in turn pay you back and not A.
Because as much bad luck as i got, I must have been the worst person ever in the life i lived before this one.
I choose to believe kharma will settle the score, because if I’m the one who settles it, I’m gonna go to jail
I believe you reap what you sew. I don’t believe in some conscious force doling out good for good deeds and bad for bad deeds.
