She used to go to the gym frequently, but I only recently found out that she stopped going because of an issue involving the gym coach and a third party.
Apparently, the coach offered her personal training sessions. Here’s the weird part of the transaction, the coach brought in a third party who offered to swipe a card to pay for the contract (to qualify for the installment in the contract she must have a card that has a specific limit but she didn’t have one so maybe that was the reason why the trainer bought in this 3rd party). Then, my sister, the trainer and the third party had a verbal agreement that she would just pay monthly installments directly to the third party.
But now she’s too busy to even go to the gym and she’s not even in town so she hasn’t been able to use the personal training or her membership. She wanted to cancel, but they’re telling her that she can’t because the payment has already been made through the card swipe.
The contract shows the amount for the personal training and it says “fully paid.”
She’s been paying the third party for 6 months now, even though she only used the personal training for about 2 months.
Now, both the coach and the third party are constantly harassing her, demanding full payment for the remaining balance. They’re also threatening legal action and claiming that the third party’s parents are high-ranking police officials. They’re saying they’ll go to the barangay to summon her.
She is super stressed, I didn’t know that it was one of the reason why she is so hesitant to come home because of the constant threats
It feels so unfair that she is “locked” on this contract so we’ll be making a consultation to a lawyer once she gets home because she’s not even in our city to utilize the training but were super stressed because we don’t know what would happen
