i accidentally rear ended someone at a stoplight today after my foot slipped off of the breaks. the impact was made at like 3 mph so it was nothing too major. we both pulled over to exchange numbers, they gave me their insurance info, and we agreed that i would provide mine via text later on in the day (my parents have recently changed our car insurance company and i did not have the info atm). all was civil and they were super nice about it! later we start texting, they send me a video of the damages to their car; relatively minor, about 2 dents which are hardly visible, and even answered some questions i had about the claim process bc this is my first car accident and i was very anxious LMAO.
however, upon sending them a message with my insurance information a few hours later, i realized they had blocked me. i havent told my insurance company anything yet, but should i at this point? not sure what to do and im scared that they’ll claim i hit and ran or refused to give them my insurance info just bc they didn’t receive my message

You still have the videos and pics of the other car from the accident? If so I’d send that to your insurance company and file a claim. NAL but that’s what I would do.
