Plastic Surgeon bait and switch

Hi everybody. Sorry, this is going to be a long one. On Thursday July 3rd I went to a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who owns a private practice in my neighborhood. I read all of her reviews (which were positive) and was very satisfied with her education and training. I met with her and felt comfortable enough to agree to the procedure. I made a required 50% deposit of $5000 to secure my surgery date and was then given an address to where the surgery would take place. Fine. When I got home I decided to google the address and found out that the surgical center operates under a different name (which I was never told) and has horrific reviews. Like this is one of those chop shop plastic surgery centers which I would have NEVER agreed to have a surgery at. I am very uncomfortable with this and am upset that it was never disclosed. I believe that she purposely avoided naming it because of the scathing reviews. I also came to find out that in 2024 the FL department of health filed complaints against the surgery clinic for failing to properly evaluate patients before administering general anesthesia. I’m terrified. I’m also realizing now that the good reviews of her private practice were from patients who received in house procedures that didn’t require general anesthesia. I was told that they would email me copies of the documents I signed and I never did. Do I have any basis for getting my deposit back which they deemed to be non-refundable?
