Edit: Sorry, not super clear. She got her citation for no license in TN, she has court this morning in TN.
She can’t get her license yet because she has old court fees in GA(from 10 years ago that she found out about last year). She has tried calling GA and explaining but they require a court appearance for anything.
Today’s worry is being arrested when she goes to court in TN this morning since this is the 2nd time.
My friend has court this morning, she was driving without a license. For context, this is the second time she has had court for this, the first time she played guilty, and was on probation for six months. This was beginning of 2024.
She has court fees in Georgia, but Georgia requires her to go to a court date before they will let her pay the court fees, and she does not have a way to get to Georgia, which is why she does not have her license.
She is already freaking out this morning that she will be arrested at the court date. Is that something that could happen this morning? It is her first appearance on the new charge.

Did she call the court and explain she has no way to get there?
If she doesn’t show up to court, a warrant will probably be issued for her arrest. If she encounters police, and they check her info, there is a strong chance she could in fact go to jail. It depends on where she is in relation to where the warrant is vs her location and what’s going on. Some states won’t extradite on a city warrant, some will.
She needs to figure it out
