Tbh, I’ve had guys that are mutuals online but I’ve never spoken to them before still friend me lol. I think it’s just social media, not really that deep.
I say do it. I mean the “worst” is he just ignores it.
definitely overthinking unless it’s like a private account (?) if he already follows people you know id just do it honestly. it’s just social media

I got rid of all my social media, IG, Twitch, no OF, I just got sick of it all, reset my phone and forgot my password so started out fresh…and I did it single. But now I’m even more lonely but it’s not different then before.

This is how my partner and I ended up together.
I was talking to this guy “Chad” who invited me to his place for a fire one night. His roomie “Steve” was there and I crushed immediately but didn’t make a move that night, and neither did he.
I hung out at their place a few times and then one day Steve sent me the friend request. I was excited cause I was full on crushin at that point but was also worried about it being weird if I sent a friend request.
After that, we started talking a little bit here and there and then a lot more. Things got weird with Chad and I asked for Steve’s advice. After that, Steve and I started hanging out in person, and 2 years later, i confessed my crush. A year after that we decided to start dating.
I am a slow burn person so please don’t take the fact it took us 3 years to date, as any sort of sign lol. We’re just awkward people who move very slow.
Sooo I totally was friends with my crush on Facebook when I was younger. He was my brothers friend, so thats how we met. We eventually started talking more before school together. I cant remember if I sent the request before or after we started talking before school though. Us being friends on Facebook eventually actually worked out in my favor. Unbeknownst to me, he also had a crush on me. Well, after he graduated (he was older than me), we didnt speak for like 4 years in person. But (as we later found out) we both randomly looked at each other’s profiles. Well one day when he was looking at MY profile, he accidentally hit the call function instead of my profile. For some unknown reason, he didnt panic hang up. And after a few seconds of painc on my end for my crush CALLING ME, I answered. During that call, we both ended up confessing our mutual crushes for each other that had managed to last this long despite not seeing each other. Let’s just say that was over 8 years ago and we’ve been together more or less since then.
