Neighbor around where I live (cul-de-sac) has 10+ cats, all outside, and from what we can tell ALL are neither spayed or neutered. We actually have two cats that previously “belonged” to them that they then turned around and denied when faced with vet issues (one missing an eye, other pregnant). Again, we had seen them feed and let these cats in multiple times before the issues – and then afterwards they suddenly were not their pets. We’ve had both for a year now.
There’s at LEAST 10 cats on their porch at a time, they’re spraying, popping out kittens that are getting killed and laying on the road, and all from what we can tell have horrid infections.
The animals go in and out of her house, lounge in her porch, and she has a set up for them.. But when ANYTHING happens, such as an injury or six kittens..
“They’re not my cats”.
We’ve tried calling local law (non emergency for animal abuse) and they turn us to the animal control.. Who tells us to call the non emergency line for animal abuse and then THEY will be called to collect them.. We’ve gotten this circle thrice before deciding to post here.
I’ve tried researching anything for my state, and I’m getting conflicting answers, and honestly no one is helping. Is there anyone I can call, or anything I can do? Not only are the cats dying and injured and sick, but they’re also killing birds, rabbits, and digging through garbage.. So it’s beyond animal hoarding at this point.
