My wife put on a display of fireworks on for the 4th. One auto launch box ‘el presidente’ popped on its side while it was going off and shot out of our yard. While it didn’t directly hit anything the spray off landed on the neighbor’s car. As you can see from afar his car looks great. Up close you can see his clear coat was already a mess. Though in a couple spots we can see it did burn the clear coat. Looks like the hood and roof may be our contribution.
What are we looking at ahead of us?
So far she has gone over and made an agreement to get a quick detailing of the car so we can clearly see what damage is superficial and what needs repair as much of the smaller black specks are from pollen being baked on. My wife is also hopeful that if it gets clay and buff that things may neutralize some and negate any responsibility we have for the roof of the car.

We are out of state residents on long term contract in southwest Georgia. (We follow all the laws and requirements and pay our respective state taxes. We got married out of country and have not registered it with US yet. The neighbor is a GA resident that relocated here from another area in state but for a similar contract for the same sector.
Effectively, she did call me her fiancé to the neighbor and claimed fault all on herself to him because she has no rights to this property. Everything is in my name And she believed this would mitigate risk to me. I still own the home and land and it happened from activities on my property.
She is a New York resident and I’m an Oklahoma resident.

Then you should have homeowners insurance and if it comes to it you can turn this over to them to deal with because as the homeowner you can be held accountable for the actions of your guests (including yo0ur undeclared wife) when they cause damage in this manner.
