I waste hours on my phone every day and I hate it. But every time I try to limit myself, I just end up uninstalling apps and reinstalling them later. How do people get their screen time down without going full hermit?
How do you stay off your phone without completely deleting everything?

put your phone away for a while or get it charge if the battery is 50% or less, maybe an hour? Then go outside just for a walk for just 1 hour, that’s the way of mine refreshing after procastination and un/reinstalling apps won’t happen
They also have lock boxes u can set a timer for but if u wind up needing it because of an emergency then ur screwed lol but they do have apps that are like parental controls where you can control how much time you spend on each app but I wouldn’t leave yourself in control of that app. I would make a friend or a family member or somebody said it for you and a passcode to it so you can’t get on it. So it’ll set how long you can be on each app and it will also have a passcode to where you can’t download anything unless you get permission. I know that sounds stupid but it’s one of the things that me and my husband have told each other we want to do and are probably going to set up this weekend because I only get 30 gigs a month and I go through them pretty fast. Just scrolling through YouTube and I’m tired of it because I need it for Pinterest and other things so yeah I’d say set up something like that with someone u trust and know will support u trying to kick screen time
