I haven’t spoken to my fent/heroine addict sister in almost 2 years. The other is a recovered coke user/dealer. My ex husband dealt with substance abuse and my now partner is a recovered alcoholic. I just went to my first al-anon meeting, never struggled personally with substances. Although, I thought I knew lots about it and did street work, I’m looking into more understanding by just listening to the people in my community
