Hey guys,
I just need advice on if im wrong to be bummed about this scenario. My mom came to town for a minor surgery and I requested two days off to hang out with her, happens to also be my boyfriend of nearly 1 years day off as well. He met my mom twice very briefly for roughly 2 hours each time (lunch/dinner). My boyfriend and I also do not have the same days off so we rarely spend a full day together. Anyways, I frequently mentioned the day she would be here and how cool it would be if we could all hang out. Considering my mom is here and I have the day off, it would be a great time for them to get to know each other.
He ended up planning an entire day with his friends. I expressed how I felt and he was silent. He’s practically radio silence this morning while texting.
Pretty much his days off are for the boys. I guess I hoped he took interest in hanging with my mom? Im close to my mom and it was sort of important to me.
TL;DR sad my boyfriend planned things with his friends instead of hanging with my mom and me when she’s in town on a requested day off.
