Before I came to Reddit I thought it was some nerdy, weird social media that had a lot of cornballs. I thought any man that use Reddit was weak. Now I think it’s a mature place that can have civilize discussions without thinking somebody is dumb for disagreeing with them(twitter does this). The people here feel real and are very understanding. I don’t use it that much, but once I get to subs I like this will probably be my to-go social media when im board.
What did you think of Reddit before you joined it vs after?

It’s boiled garbage. It’s always been boiled garbage.
It’s the last functional website (debatable).
I thought it was a cesspool. I still think it’s a cesspool, depending on which subs I’m on.
Well before Reddit I had barely enough money to scrape by. Since becoming a member and being offered 1000 shares of stock at the IPO price of $34, I am now able to provide many things to those I care about and am sitting on a good chunk of change. Thank You!
Depending on the subs you are in, it can be highly informational, supportive, educational, amazing, average, absolute garbage, nerdy, cringe, shit, etc.
Before: So many interesting topics and discussions
After: Reddit is the clothes line that people air their dirty underwear. Heavily left leaning. Thankfully, not censored like youtube is starting to be.
The “nerdy, weird” part was the draw.
Waste of time. Still a waste of time.
I’m locked in.
