I needed to talk about this somewhere because i’ve never ever been in a position like this before.
Me and my boyfriend haven’t been together too long but i’ve started getting some red flags from recently regarding loyalty/commitment etc, I knew it was wrong when I did it but I felt I wanted to check his phone.
When I unlocked it, his photos app was open and filled with screenshots of other girls’ instagram posts and stories, all of these girls had been edited (using some kind of app, I presume as I saw a watermark on each image) to be naked to some degree. I feel sick to my stomach. Not even for me and my own feelings, but for these poor girls who have no idea what this person is doing with their images.
I don’t know whether to confront him, and if I do I wouldn’t know what to say. This is honestly one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. I’m not sure even if what he’s done is illegal???? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’m not sure on the legality of it but it’s definitely immoral if nothing else. I’d confront him and leave him over it. Consider yourself lucky, you haven’t been dating long and you got a glimpse of his true colors.
Honestly there’s no fixing behavior like this. He’ll spin it anyway he knows how to make it seem like it was your fault for looking, he wasn’t sharing it it’s in privet so who cares (it’s not ok in privet either) or some other dumb excuse.
Tell him you saw it, think it’s extremely disgusting bc it is. And to not contact you anymore.
If he can’t take it for what it is than make sure you have evidence of what’s on his phone in case he tries to pull it on you and post it.
At that point it gets dicey but it could be considered revenge porn or extortion. I’m not sure since ai crimes are new and there’s little regulation on it but either way the best way is to just leave him and if possible warn the people who’s pictures he has.
Edit: it sucks bc you love him I know but trust me, if he’s willing to do that he’s doing more than that.

It may depend on your state but I’m pretty sure that those girls could sue him for defamation of character or something along that vein. With the rapid growth of AI and how scarily accurate it can be (not to mention how harmful it is as well) new laws are being put into place to protect victims of AI deepfakes. I’m pretty sure a congresswoman had a whole case where she had printed the photos and showed them to a courtroom to prove how harmful AI can be.
Damn, that’s a shitshow n a half, sry you’re dealing with this. Defo a red flag if he’s editing pics without consent, borderline creepy af. Sounds hella invasive and wrong. Damn, that’s messed up. TBH, I’d confront him ASAP. This ain’t about jealousy or trust issues, it’s about respecting women. Not cool whatsoever. My advice? Show him the door. Keep ur head up, sis. You deserve way better. ✊👊🖐️

Yeah when you think about it, that’s a creepy amount of effort to put toward editing IG posts as fap material, it’s very specific.
Like why not just be content with a few of the billion existing nsfw images out there? He’s create his own custom ones? Like wtf.
That is very much illegal, please leave and contact the police, that kind of thing ruins lives, and could even lead to the girls in the pictures being suicidal. Forget any loyalty to him, and report it, something similar happened to a friend of mine, and it was incredibly traumatic and life altering. I’m sorry that you’ve been hurt and you’ve had to see those pictures 😢
Tbh, ppl tell you to confront him and leave him, but I advise against it, as you’ve seen what he can do to other girls… he could do the same to you out of revenge, it’s better to report him anonymously, and once he’s exposed, act shocked, pretend you know nothing, and move on from him.
Leave. Don’t confront. It’s not worth it. You don’t know how he will react and because you don’t know you need to air on the side of caution. If you were my daughter I would advise you to leave and not mention. You will gain nothing by discussing this with him so why would you put yourself in an uncomfortable and really unnecessary situation. He is weird period. We stay away from weirdos, we don’t try to rationalize or get them to stop understand how to be ethical. Not your job!!
Leave him, don’t confront him about the images he can hurt you by the messed up state of his mind, get his phone or call the cops report them. Don’t just walk away from this crime just because you’re too unsure on what to do.
I say confront. If he is making a cottage industry of defaming these females, not confronting allows him to continue unfettered. If he is confronted, he might realize how repugnant his behavior is and that he lost at least one relationship from it.
It is similar to a rapist. Going after them saves other girls.
