we are both 19 years old, so teen only for one more year. me (M19) and her (F19) have been together for many years and nothing bad has ever happened until now. currently there have been some unusual behaviors that made me suspect possible cheating:
-she goes out much more often than usual. she has a few friends, but with none of them had ever gone out that much before.
-she has to go on a trip with “her mother” with whom she supposedly has a horrible relationship, but apparently they now have two trips to make
-she is particularly interested in things she has never liked, such as literature. she has always found books boring, even though I am a big reader
-I tried to talk to her about this, but she said it’s all in my head and told me to fuck off. then she went back to normal
-she always talks to me about school, even though it’s something she’s never liked before. it really doesn’t make sense this
do you think there is something going on and she is cheating on me?

Here’s the thing. Communication is key in relationships. And it’s fair to say “Hey. I feel like something is going on can we talk about it”. If that’s too much for her or she can’t communicate past a fuck off, then the relationship simply won’t survive the long run.
You’re young, you’ve got all of the time, there’s plenty of fish in the sea….and whatever other cliches. But seriously you’re too young to be worried about cheating and playing sleuth. Let it go if she can’t be a partner about it.
If she has a sudden change of interests that didn’t begin while you’re with her. Definitely would question who she’s been talking to. Oh, it’s already a red flag if she’s telling you it’s in your head and telling you to eff off instead of attempting to be open about communicating her reasoning. Might have to call this a loss.
19 is the perfect time to realize relationships change, people change and not all relationships will be good ones, or long ones.
She could be cheating on you, which is also something to learn how to deal with early and learn the psychology of why that happens as well as how to deal with it and get past it without ruining your life.
She could also just be changing. As a 19 year old you’re discovering lots of new things, trying out things, etc.
If she’s just telling you to f off, chances are you’re not communicating well. That’s a good moment to take stock of where you are and where you wanna be.
You should fuck off this relationship, follow her advice ! She clearly doesn’t care about your feelings.
First of all define what constitutes as cheating to you. Second, you can confront her about this, not coming from any type of attachment or insecurity. Simply frame it as genuine interest. Notice her body language and tone; if she becomes distant, closed, or even offended in some way, theres a good chance she’s hiding something from you. Then after that point, you already have your answer and can decide how to move forward.
Too young to be this serious type of relationship.
“my girlfriends becoming a better person and i feel like she’s cheating on me”
When I showed jealousy for the first time in a year, my sweetheart brushed it off with laughter and started ridiculing me for being insecure and told me (paraphrasing): “are you seriously jealous of that guy? Look at him, just look at him!” That got me quite convinced because that guy was indeed below average, while I was quite desired among girls. Also, she was gorgeous and it didn’t make any sense, except for what my eyes saw. One year forward she dumped me for that SAME GUY. Everyone from our friend circle was caught off guard, as that guy couldn’t even seduce ugly women, but managed to get the hottie. Up to that point he only once kissed a random girl that looked like hell. My advice: forget what she says, look at how she behaves. This is also true for other people as well.
