Forced to drive a hot box truck in summer heat with no AC

r/

Location: Arizona. I work for a company that leases furniture and similar merchandise. Well my boss has been nitpicking me so I’m asking this to cover my bases in case they try to escalate their behavior. Yesterday I was forced to drive around in a box truck in 100+ degree hot Arizona weather with no AC as it blows dry hot air, similar to a hair dryer. Well I had to go pick up merchandise a couple of customers were returning, as they could no longer afford to continue paying off their leases. Over the course of the next couple of hours, the hard work and heat got to me even while hydrating. I ended up getting severe heat exhaustion that almost became heat stroke and had to call out today. I’m worried my boss might try to start drama for me calling out today, hence why I made this post. Is it even legal to force us to drive around a vehicle as hot and heavy as a box truck with NO AC? I would think with how extreme the heat in Arizona gets, there would be SOMETHING in place to keep us from facing conditions like this. Thank you guys for any advice you may have <3
