I had a classmate who was brutally killed by robbers recently. We weren’t even closed, and I have never ever talked to her, but her death really hit me hard. It was just so brutal.
Today I keep talking to her with my inner voice. Like, earlier, I saw a restaurant was renovated and instead of my inner voice saying “Was that resto just renovated”, I say, “Yo Fia that restaurant was just renovated”.
Then I was playing a game earlier and my inner voice was saying
“Yo Fia watch me clutch this”
“Fia do you think choosing this class is even a good idea?”
And I was watching reels and my inner voice waa going like:
“Fia, are you seeing this?”
What am I doing? What is happening to me? Is this even healthy to me? What do I do?

This isn’t weird, it’s your brain trying to make sense of a brutal loss by keeping her spirit close. Let it happen for now but if she starts to feel too real or it’s affecting you deeply, you might be carrying trauma that needs to be released not just managed.
