Should I go to court? Pedestrian Or Vehicular Interference

I received a ticket while out with family this month, it states: “DID INTENTIONALLY OBSTRUCT PEDESTRIAN OR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC BY HAILING HIS UBER IN THE PUBLIC ROADWAY CAUSING TRAFFIC TO STOP.” However I did not stop traffic, I walked to where my uber driver said he was waiting, which happened to be on the street with very heavy traffic and heavy police presence. There was no signage and I was not warned that I could not enter a vehicle there. I was physically pulled from the vehicle after opening my door even though I was very compliant. I told the police officer in charge that he did not say anything to me prior to entering the vehicle, he said “my camera is off”, the officer standing next to him said “are you calling my supervisor a liar?” At that point I stopped trying to defend myself and took the ticket. The physical copy says it’s a civil infraction however now that it has been filed it says “criminal”. I was okay with paying the fine as I assumed it was going to be a small amount however it is over $600. Any help or advice will be much appreciated. No criminal history and I’ve only gotten 1 ticket in my whole life and it was for speeding.

It doesn’t matter if that’s where the Uber was waiting. They often wait in places that they really shouldn’t. They don’t need to sign every possible law and give warnings. The general line is ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

What exactly is the code on the ticket?
