Going to try to keep this simple. My (34F) bf (40m) of a year was going to go on vacation with my family and I. He bailed. No hard feelings because that’s a lot. But he still took off all 10 days vacation the exact same time I was out of town. He never takes off days of work so this hurt me. Because he works second shift and I have a kid so often times I see him at 11:30 pm at night. We do spend mornings together until 2 but will sleep in and sometimes I have to work. And Wednesdays he’ll be off at 4 so I’ll come around 5. I just mean to say it’s not a ton. It’s usually Wednesday Thursday and Friday that I see him but it’s just often so so late at night minus one day being a little earlier.
I’m not saying he should save all his vacation for me but it hurts that he didn’t reserve some days off with me. Or save some for me this summer. Or have the forethought to think hey, my girlfriend comes over to my place so late night and stays up for me and that’s a lot to ask for her, would be nice to take her on a date during day time hours and take some vacation for time with her since she puts in all this effort to see me.
I have an issue trying not to be too needy so I can never tell if I’m over thinking and being obnoxious or if I’m settling. I do think he loves me but he’s sometimes just not smart with relationships…
