This may be an odd question, but there’s a story behind it. Im 16F and ever since I got into high school I’ve had an issue with sweating and stinking from between my thighs despite wearing deodorant PLUS showering twice a day( it was that severe) I always put on perfume but towards the middle of the day I always start to stink and smell strongly like must. It’s even worse that Im in a dance group so there’s no way to hide the smell as I’m legit always moving around, and im telling you the smell is so strong it practically stinks up the whole area. There’s only about 8 people in our dance team and everyone on the team knows it’s me which makes it a thousand times more embarrassing.
I went to the dermatologist for this and it turns out I have hyperhidrosis, a condition that makes you uncontrollably sweat even if you’re doing nothing which makes sense because I literally used to have humongous sweat stains on my armpits and even sometimes my pants when I’ve been doing nothing, but working with the doctor we finally found a solution for the sweating ( medicine + a topical applicant) which stops it for the most part. Despite this I still want to know how to always smell good and fresh, just because the old image of me is SOOO embarrassing and I don’t want to be known as the girl that always stinks and smells like sweat at 11 in the morning, so this school year I want to focus on smelling extremely good to hopefully get that image and perception of me out of peoples heads just for my own sake and pride.
So any advice like the best long lasting perfumes, body washes, hair mists, or literally anything regarding good smell would be greatly appreciated or even just random advice relating to this post since I’m in a quite bad and embarrassing situation right now.

Tell all your friends what you have found; “Hey, Mary, guess what? I used to smell bad because I have hyperhidrosis, but I’m working on it. Do I smell better?”
Did the dermatologist give you any advice?
I can only suggest this deodorant for your underarms: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00F9TP7HS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title . It works for me.
The bacteria that lives under your armpits eats your sweat and farts smell.
That’s your science lesson for the day. Farting smells
Just like when you get a shot at the Dr.’s office and they wipe your skin with alcohol to disinfect the area you can also disinfect the area of your skin where bacteria is “Farting smells”.
Go to the store and buy a bottle of 70% rubbing alcohol. If you belong to a Costco or similar you can purchase them cheaper in bulk.
Pour the 70% alcohol into a spray bottle. There are fine mist-type spray bottles that work very well but any spray bottle will do just fine.

In the morning spray your armpits. Apply deodorant ( whatever you like … Dove is nice ). Before you go to bed, spray your armpits and apply deodorant.
That’s it.
You have now killed the bacteria under your arms. You now are in a regime where no bacteria can survive under your arms.
If you just shaved apply the deodorant first and then spray. It will sting but less.
This 100% works. Tell all your friends.
Bonus
Once the bacteria is dead adding a nice smell that is long lasting is all about oil. Perfumes are nice but if they aren’t in a cream or an oil form they don’t last long.
This isn’t a permanent solution but when I was on birth control it made me stink and sweat SO badly so I ended up taking some fenugreek up until getting off. It made me smell like syrup and it was really nice the first couple of weeks taking it but after a while you get really tired of it. I mean maybe you can resort to taking fenugreek while you look for a more permanent solution? Idk I hope this helps you somehow
weird one for me, but my female friend left her shampoo at mine once, and I ran out of mine. And I don’t know whats in it but it smells so good and the smell stayed for ages in my hair. So maybe something to check out to find something that works.
Also depending on your body, there might be moisturisiers and the like that have a nice smell and stay on for a while. I started moisurising a month ago as I was told it was important due to the harsh sun in my country. and I’ve had a few people ask me what that nice smell was. Especially if its not too strong but not too light.
I personally find that the baked good scents seem to last rlly long, essential oils, such as lemongrass, lavender, almond, and vanilla. I personally am in love with a perfume called pistachio biscotti by pistaché skincare. It’s a little on the expensive side but one or two sprays will literally stay for days. No need for reapplying. Spray it in the bra you use and it’ll smell for up to a week. I’m not sure of the cover up ability of it for b/o but I 💨🍃 and it covers up that smell wonderfully. Where you describe your scent as “musk” I would stay away from earthy scents like woods and herbs and lean towards the “girlish” scents. I hope this was helpful in any compasity. Also I stay away from anything like sweet pea or violet scented stuff because it smells kindof sour sometimes.
