My girlfriend has been a NSFW webcam streamer for 10 years. Her abusive ex has been harassing her in various ways for months.
Yesterday, during a stream, the ex tried to publicly post my girlfriend’s personal info in the chat (real name, phone number, email, physical address). Luckily we’d prepared for this, so the message didn’t actually reach the public chat, but the fact remains he tried, and will likely continue to do so on other platforms. He later admitted via text message that it was him.
We’re in NY, the ex is in Oregon. We called the sheriff’s office in Oregon and they said they couldn’t do anything without an address for him (he lives in an RV so could be anywhere), even though they’re aware of his abuse (the police have been called on him before).
The pattern of harassment is well-documented. What should we do?
