This is my first relationship, so for all I know, I could just be insecure or overthinking things—and if I am, just be honest with me, but don’t be a dick about it.
My girlfriend has told me before that she knows it’s not fair, but she still thinks about her ex—not because she misses him, but because he didn’t treat her the way I do. I get that she means it as a compliment, but it still makes me wonder if she’s fully over him. There have been other times where he’s come up too, and it leaves me feeling unsure.
She also still has a plushie from that relationship, which feels kind of weird, especially considering he cheated on her. I know that might sound small, but these things are starting to pile up. I’m not trying to overreact—it’s just been making me feel a little off about the whole situation

I’ve experienced that twice and in both cases it turned out they weren’t over their exes. Now it’s a dealbreaker for me. I would sit down with her and see if she still has feeling for him. If she doesn’t, great, but she should listen to you that it makes you uncomfortable.
