Good morning!
My landlord has recently informed me they’re not renewing my lease as they want to completely renovate all the apartments. He is currently doing so at the apartment upstairs from me. However, I am having some concerns recently. I have a ring camera/doorbell for my door, but the shared landing is between mine and the stairs to the upstairs apartment. I just noticed that my ring camera has been disconnected since yesterday at 11:30 am. (Between working two jobs, I am hardly home during the week except to sleep, so I didn’t notice until today). I also have 3 solar lights in my garden in front of my apartment (I’m lower) and noticed yesterday when arriving home they were turned down (I believe he possibly thought they were cameras).
My issue is that I leave my patio door unlocked sometimes (I know, I’m to blame for that), but I genuinely now believe that my landlord entered my apartment through that, and turned my wifi off to disconnect my Ring Camera. Why? I have no idea. However, I know this is illegal.
What can I do? Do I have any rights to this? Not to mention, they tried to give me less than the mandatory 90 days notice about not renewing my lease. Something strange is definitely going on and unfortunately I am at work the rest of today.
TIA!

Without proof, its all suspicion.
Also they need to give you 90 days if you have had a lease with them for 2 years or more. 60 days for less than 2 years. Just throwing that out there since you didn’t mentioned how long you been renting.
You can’t prove they entered and messed with your WiFi.
You don’t have a right to a ring camera affixed on the outside. The landlord is allowed to enter with notice.
