This is really bothering me. I can see the scene. Everything has been leading up to this moment where they both kiss and straight away they’re instantly like “omg no” and cringe because they realise it’s not that they’re into each other, it’s been that their friends and family have been pushing them together.

My husband remembers the scene too – but neither of us know the show we’re thinking of.
Back to the Future?
The Guild webseries?
Valentine’s Day Ashton Kutcher and Jennifer Gardner!
Or “Mean Girls” when Janet and Damien kiss at the end at the dance lmfao
Cancel all that – I think it’s 27 Dresses, where the female has a long-standing infatuation with her boss and when they finally kiss they both realise there’s no connection.
I can’t find it but I feel like there’s a scene in 30 Rock between Jack and Liz where that happens
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Cordelia and Wesley. End of the third season.

Was it the Rachel and Joey kiss on friends?
(Season 9, Episode 24 (“The One in Barbados: Part 2”) and again in Season 10, Episode 1 (“The One After Joey and Rachel Kiss”).
Also happens in Four Weddings and a Funeral
The Good Place when Tahani and Jason got together?
Or Younger when Kelsey and Josh kissed?
Animated or live action? What time period?
Santa Clarita diet? I feel like they had that moment at some point
Charlie and Dee from it’s always sunny in Philadelphia?
Rachel and Joey on Friends, or David and Stevie on Schitt’s Creek?
Happened in Don’t trust the B in apt 23, but it was after sleeping together
Is it Recess? When TJ and Spinelli kiss?
Did you ever watch the web series Dorm Life? It happens in that. But it’s pretty niche and so I’m probably wrong lmao
I can see the scene. Were their eyes closed, and they afterward backed away, blinked, and looked at eachother in disbelief, maybe licking/smacking their lips in disgust? Might have been a 90s/early 2000s rom com?
I think it was PS I love you?
PS I Love You has this happen with the lead and her male friend (that, iirc, her mom and friends really want her to get with) at Yankee Stadium.
That 70s show: Jackie and Hyde?
Solving comment (by N7Templar): Rachel and Joey on Friends, or David and Stevie on Schitt’s Creek?
