I’M NOT GOING TO EAT A PERSON. I’M NOT GOING TO EAT A PERSON. I’M NOT GOING TO EAT A PERSON. I’M NOT GOING TO EAT A PERSON.
I’M A WRITER.
Now that that’s been said. Putting the massive trauma you would endure by eating a human aside, l’m aware that human meat will give you a degenerative brain disease because of the proteins it contains that humans can’t process. I think I read somewhere that the brain is the part of the body highest in these proteins, so you can’t eat it. So, what part of the body would be lowest in them? About how many years would the effects of the disease take to set in if you ate this part? Or would you not even experience any symptoms if you cooked it properly?

My guess would be the eyeballs or extremities, though I’m no expert
Human meat is fine, human brain will give you prion disease. As long as you avoid the brain (and potentially the spinal cord since it’s still considered the central nervous system) eating the rest of the person is fine as long as it’s cooked properly just like any other meat.
I’d go for leg meat personally, lots of muscle and fat, get a solid slab to grill. Arms too, lots of muscle meat there.
Flanks would be good, ribs would be solid as well with some BBQ sauce and ranch dip
You’re going to eat a person aren’t you
The most versatile excuse: I’m a writer.
“Why are you researching butterfly species?” I’m a writer.
“Why are you viewing guns for sale?” I’m a writer.
“Why’s there a dead body in your trunk?” I’m a writer.
The entirety of the body with the exception of the brain is technically safe if cooked. Brains can hold prions, which cause things like mad cow disease and prion diseases are always fatal. Always. Pretty fascinating disease type, I highly recommend reading about it. Safest parts are the same as any other mammal, the muscle meats. Remember kids, people are friends not food!
*Edit to add that if the brain is not infected with prions, it is also safe to eat. Trouble is, you just don’t know!
the op doth protest too much
Idk about safest, but backstrap on an animal is usually the best. Given that we’re animals, stands to reason it’d be a tasty part

Might be good to do research on the best way to break down a body as well, depending on the context of the cannibalism. For overly-disgusting research, Issei Sagawa has written a very detailed account of himself killing and eating his classmate, including which parts he ate and his feelings/actions. Lots of killer cannibals out there, but I’ve never read such a detailed account. He puts Albert Fish’s letters to shame
Bonus thought: if it’s intentional cannibalism instead of a survival situation, meat stays better on the bone…
Someone with nice fatty gluts would go well with a nice Chianti
I assume the limbs would probably be the “safest,” since there would be no internal organs in those parts that could potentially make you sick or give you prions.
I asked two MD’s they both said the butt would be the best to eat.
Except for the liver and brain you should be okay as long as it’s properly cooked
I’ve been eating my fingernails and the dead skin around that area fir like 40 years without issue if that helps. Probably doesn’t though.
Nice Chianti and farva beans
What the heck are you all talking about, eating a human brain will NOT give you prion disease unless the person already had prion disease. If you eat healthy human brain it’s fine, simply eating a human brain doesn’t create prions.
I hope this isn’t exhibit A in some trial later.
You mean to actually Eat or eat the bedroom version?
Some guy actually bbq’d his amputated leg and invited friends over and they all ate some. So that turned out to be safe. I’m not sure any muscle area is more safe than any other, but in our modern society we have that one example of eating human thigh meat in carnitas form and nothing bad happening
Can it be ANY part? Earlobe would likely be easy, it’s very soft and wouldn’t have much resistance to it like muscle or bony areas. Nasal cartilage as well, or lips.
Albert Fish was fond of ass meat I believe.
