LPT: When you go to your car and the windshield is covered in pollen, flick the windshield wipers WITHOUT spraying water. That will clear the windshield, and the pollen will easily blow away as you get up to driving speed. If you spray water the pollen will cake up and stick to the glass.

Must be in GA right now

You haven’t seen the pollen around me. That shit clings to a car window like window tint. You dry wipe and it looks like you’re watching a movie set in Mexico in the 1970s

This clears most of the pollen, but not all for me. I still have to spray. Then again, the pollen is so thick here that it looks like I’ve got yellow glasses on.

The pollen near where I live just smears across the windshield when I try to dry wipe it with the windshield wipers. I generally have to DRENCH my windshield with wiper fluid in order to get it all off.

Unless you live in a humid state.

It’s like I always say when you’re smoking and drop ashes on yourself.

    Blow before you wipe.

    Except the opposite.

Happy spring everyone. I hope this spring/summer is great for everyone. Also, go get the chocolate cookies and creme filled eggs from Aldi in the aisle of shame. You won’t regret it.

Jokes on you my car doesn’t have working sprayers.

No thanks. I’ll keep thinking that it will wash off first try and smear pollen all over my window for 5 mins.

Might work if it’s unprocessed pollen (and in the right low-humid conditions). Where I live most “pollen” is actually bee poop, i.e. pollen that has been digested and excreted, which has a different viscosity.

Great tip! This will save time and keep the windshield clearer.

I worry this is just going to cause the dust to scratch my windshield. I would rather it cake up than to have a scratched windshield.

This isn’t good advice because you’re NEVER supposed to run your wipers dry, it wears them down them very quickly. And can scratch your glass. Don’t do it.

Or once the wipers push all the pollen into a nice straight line, snort it off the windshield to build up a tolerance.

LOL – not in NJ. Or NC. Or anywhere else I’ve ever experienced polled (which are all places it gets humid).

Yeah except no that doesn’t happen

    No it doesn’t
