Immediately. Like within a week. But I was so done with that relationship. I had checked out for over a year at that point.
I paid for most of the house so I’m not moving. Took months to get him to leave.
I had an overnight bag already packed left and returned on the weekend with a few guys from work while he was at work got the rest of my stuff. So less than a week.
The final one took like 30 minutes. But my bags had been packed for a month.
24 hours.
A month, that wasn’t ideal I should’ve moved right away and ate the cost of an additional months rent
We terminated the lease immediately and I was in my new apartment a week later
About a week until I moved my furniture, the same day to just physically leave the apartment with the most necessary items.
ASAP. I packed what I needed and left the same day. No point dragging it out.
I have gone through a few of these, but I’ll describe the happiest one. We decided to part ways before we inevitably started to hate each other. We lived together amicably but kinda separately for almost three months until I finally got into a place of my own.
About 3 hours.
We were married. I can’t recall exactly – from agreeing to divorce to living fully separately was probably somewhere in the 4-6 month range, but as we’d already been living as though we were nothing more than roommates for more than 5 years at that point, there was no real urgency for either of us to move out instantly. It took time to separate everything we had and pack it all up and to transfer all the bills and such into my ex’s name and begin separating our finances so I wouldn’t be responsible for any of their financial choices once I was elsewhere. I started looking for a new place around a month into the divorce discussion process and it took a while to find something that would work for me. As soon as I did, I moved out.
I broke up with him last week and he has already signed a lease for mid August. I am in the process of transferring to a different unit at the same complex, likely to move in September. Luckily we ended on good terms so I didn’t feel like I needed to leave immediately, just ASAP.
Three years – broke up, split into seperate rooms and transitioned into a close (platonic) friendship.
Even moved into a new place together after the current rental ended the tenancy.
These days he’s married with a kid and I live alone and love the peace and quiet 😁
I broke up in a live-in situation twice. Once it was a mutual decision that just had to happen, but nothing even remotely bad was going on. She was set to move to Paris for an internship anyway and we continued living together for three months until she left and then it was just my apartment.
The other time there was also nothing actually bad going on (like no abuse, no fear of him or anything like that), I just couldn’t deal with his shit anymore. I basically walked out and went to my parents and then I broke up with him on the phone. It was my apartment and I didn’t want to kick him out, so I moved out temporarily for my parents’ house a couple days later. He stayed in the apartment for like a month until he found something and then I moved back in.
Was married 27 years. Told him I wanted a divorce in July. Divorce was final in February, moved out when I got a new home at the beginning of September. Yeah weird. Would not recommend.
First partner I lived with I moved out within a week or so of breaking up. Second partner, he was supposed to move out at the end of the month, but it took him a little over an extra month to leave. I had to give him a very strong nudge and make it clear we weren’t getting back together if he stayed.
A little over a month only so he could potentially find a roommate to replace me because he freaked that he couldn’t afford the house on his own. It was not fun, he treated me like shit even though he kept saying he couldn’t do it alone.

We were living w my dad so he moved out, but he stopped being there during the day/spending the night immediately after I broke up w him and he moved his stuff out within the first 2 or 3 days.
It took my ex a year to move out. It was a year of hell. If you can get out soon.
About a month. We broke up because he was cheating and the second I confronted him, he wanted to kick me out immediately, because he made more money and “well, I can afford to live here and you can’t. It’s only fair.”
That same week I was going through a neurological issue that messed with my eyesight. Couldn’t even drive. I was in a state 1,000+ miles away from friends and family. Had to wait until I was able to drive which was about a month. Had to sleep in the same bed every night until I was able to pack up and drive back to my parents’. Most awkward, sad month of my life.
That night lol
about a month we were untangling lives, not just feelings took time to find a place and make peace with the change
Um that night? lol. I left the apartment and started staying with a friend. I moved my things out about a month or so later, when he was not on premises.
THAT day.
Broke up with one ex because I caught him cheating, took him 5 weeks to fuck off.
I was paying for the apartment and he wasn’t a shitty person just not a good partner to me so he went back to his parents house, I packed his shit, they came and got it. Like a week maybe.
One day. Lol
He moved into my house. I gave him 30 days. He started packing the day before the 30th and was out that weekend.
ASAP! because you dont know what they are capable of doing next.

Booked my flight back home the next day. Was gone within the week. Gave myself 3-4 days to pack. 2 to dance around
I broke up with him in June, we’ll definitely stay friends and he’s an amazing person I adore, but he’s a terrible boyfriend and we don’t work as a couple. We tried to kinda work on it a little, it was a bit clunky for a few weeks, then in the last few weeks I was totally over it and I found a new place today, I move out on the first/second week of August.
