Dad Kicking Me Out

Location: New Jersey

Hi, my situation is pretty complicated and I’m not quite sure what to do. For context, I bounce between two homes: My mom’s (grandma, sister, mom) and my dad’s (dad, stepmom, 3 younger siblings). My dad refuses to contact my mother in any way. My father and stepmother have a history of narcissistic and controlling behaviors. My father is better off financially than my mother so I primarily stay with him.

My father has been angry with my mother because of a situation that occurred earlier this month, and has since “banned” me from seeing my mom. Legally, I’m not sure if he’s allowed to do that since the court ordered that my mom has me for alternating weekends. But, my mom picked me up this weekend anyways, and he freaked out and called me as we were driving to her house. He got extremely angry because I left “without his permission” and told me to stay at my mother’s house and to not come back to his house. He then texted me and said he is cancelling my phone plan (I pay for it but the account is in my stepmom’s name I believe?) Overall, I know I have the moral high ground but I just want to prepare for the future. My dad does petty things like this when he feels he isn’t in control so I have a strong feeling he will come around soon, however I feel like now is a good time to prepare for independence from my father so it will be easier as I progress into adulthood.
