Ex (30M) owes me (30F) money and I’m tired of reminding him. What should I do?

r/

I’m talking about the refund of a holiday we didn’t end up taking because we broke up. The money we spent was roughly $800 (split in half). However after reminding him several times to send me the money back he seems to not care or maybe he doesn’t have it anymore… He hasn’t refused though, he just seems to be delaying it, and always says: I will do it tmw, but he never does.

Should I just assume I lost this money? Or is there something else I can do? I don’t know about you but $400 is not little for me. It’s 1/3 of my rent.

Just in case we didn’t end in bad terms, so this is why I can’t understand why he’s taking so long.

TL;DR: My ex owes me $400 but he is not giving them back. What are my options?

If you’re in the U.S., small claims court might be an option.

What’s worh more.. $800 or the peace of mind of letting it go and moving on? Not to say that $800 is not a lot, but just now he has your money AND your thoughts.

How long has this been going on?
In any case I guess you should write off the money and add it to the list of reasons of why it’s good you’re not together anymore.

Nothing else you can really do, legally.

I’d just message him every day
