I’ve had a crazy month, but to keep it short, my district manager and store manager are best friends and me making a report on my store manager was clearly a huge mistake, After expressing concerns with my store manager (sm) to my district manager (dm) my hours were cut way shorter than usual in the updated schedule. Later, I reported something about my sm a bit more serious and potentially illegal to HR in which my dm, read. Nothing was done and I was made to work with sm like usual..only, she clearly knew I reported and made the entire shift uncomfortable. After, a stressful few weeks I decided to resign and just move onto something else.
Now, I’ve been informed by a current employee, that sm was reading her and dm’s texts out loud to which DM said “that bitch”-me-“wont get away with this”. What could this possibly mean and should I take it seriously?

I’m not sure about the legal question, so I have a non legal answer. Start looking for a new job.

No one here is going to know what she meant specifically. This just sounds like a bunch of workplace drama. Just ignore it and move on.
First of all, cutting you hours was retaliation and is not legal. But that is a moot point since you don’t work there anymore.
I wouldn’t consider the “wo ‘t get away” a threat unless/until it is accompanied by a more threatening action.
