Spoke to a class action lawyer who represented a case against city in past, and currently has a pending issue with sex discrimination against city but she won’t represent me stating she took this other case on and she’s class action. As I wait for a referral I been gathering additional information that benefits my case and I want to submit a claim before time runs out. How do I do this solo

Without any detail as to what this might be about, that’s likely a decent first step as well as consulting with a discrimination/civil rights attorney.
It would help tremendously to have more information about the specific complaint. Because you’re in Illinois, you have 300 days for the charges to be filed. However, the deadline can change based on the nature of discrimination, or how many people are employed by the discriminating employer. Do you have more information you’re willing to provide?
