Not looking for legal advice per se, just would like some idea of what will happen at this hearing.
I am being sued for CC debt and have a pre-trial hearing coming up. I consulted a lawyer who said I could ask to settle for a low amount per month but it would depend on the Judge. My income is just SS and my only asset​ is a house. I expect they will want to put a lien on it.
My question is, what will the judge expect from me? Documentation of income or anything else? I plan to go to the hearing so the judgment won’t just be default but I have no idea what I should do.
