My sister wants to become a police officer, but we have a concern: our father is in prison. She is 19 years old and plans to take the exams in two years.
Would this situation negatively affect her career?

Your sister can’t control the actions of your father. I have never heard of it having a negative impact on an applicant.
I was married when I got hired. My (now ex) wife’s dad was in prison. It was not an issue.
What do his misdeeds have to do with her?
Two of my coworkers had brothers in prison: one for murder and one for being a chomo. It had no impact on them being hired.
Shoot, some folks work as cops with mild records. Some folks arrest folks on the same street they both grew up in.
