In our class, cheating was not a secret. A few students would pass notes, whisper answers, or even check their phones during tests. It wasn’t hidden. We all saw it. One day, I got really frustrated. I had studied all night, but the boy next to me just copied everything from someone else. He finished early and even smiled like he was proud. After the test, I told the teacher. I didn’t name anyone, I just said, “Some students are cheating during the test.” She looked at me, nodded, and said, “Hmm… I’ll look into it.” But she never did. Next test same thing happened again. That’s when I realized something: she didn’t care. Or maybe she just didn’t want to create drama. I stopped trying so hard after that. I mean, what’s the point of studying when cheaters are winning? I still remember that feeling not anger, but disappointment. What would you do if your teacher ignored cheating again and again? Should we just stay quiet?

Did you follow up with her? You might find out why. Or if you are really upset you can go above her to the principal
You probably live in India or China or some other place where academic cheating is the norm.
I understand the frustration, but at this point, what does the fact that others cheat have to do with you?
Sure, these people will get good grades without much effort, but what will they gain in the long run? What skills will they have when they face higher education or work?
They certainly won’t be better than you. Think about your own future, it’s not worth worrying about theirs.
That’s a big issue if the main purpose of learning to you is to win against other students.
The faster you learn this lesson, the better off you’ll be in life.
You are responsible for yourself, so control your thoughts and actions. Who cares if they’re cheating, it’ll come back and hurt them later on in life.
Edit: to add on, you don’t want to draw unnecessary attention or issues with your classmates. Mind your business and do things the right way. The universe has your back.
What is the point of doing your best when others are cheating
Easy the moment they need that information in real life they have no clue what it means so that piece of paper called a diploma isn’t worth anything.
Former teacher here.
I’m sorry you are dissapointed in the system, truth is it leaves a lot to be desired…
One of the faults of most education system in the world is how result focused the process is. Everything is filtered into meaningless numbers in the end, and somehow that is meant to inform your entire future, it is madness…
The reason I bring that up is because I need you to take a step back, breathe, and just accept the faults in reality. Your classmates might cheat and get good grades and whatever, but the numbers don’t really mean anything. If they get into a tough university with their faked grades they’ll just fail down the line… they mostly hurt themselves here.
Their cheating won’t harm you.
You should still study and try, not to get good grades but because gaining knowledge and developing a strong work ethic are worthwhile goals that will help you in your entire life.
There is still value in you putting in effort and developing yourself as a person, even if your classmates or teachers might let you down.
If you can get the same good grades they do but without cheating, you will be more capable than them down the line.
Try not to resent your classmates or teachers, people are flawed and sometimes not acknowledging something is wrong is just the path of least resistance.

I would just let the principal know
Do you know how a teachers job performance is measured? Through the grades of the kids they teach. If the kids are getting consistently low grades, the teachers performance and ability to teach effectively gets thrown into the equation.
And while it makes sense to measure their performance like this, it can also lead to conflicts of interest as this teacher shows.
If she allows them to cheat, the students get higher grades and their performance doesn’t get called into question.
If you really want to force this change, then you need to speak to that teachers superior, whether it’s the head of that faculty or, if the teacher is the head of faculty, speak to the head teacher. You’ll have more success if you involve your parents.
It’s because they know, although parent may tell you school matters, that as far as having a diploma goes, grades come into play only if you decide to pursue a higher form of education and once you enter collage, as long as you enter grades don’t matter your knowdge does, they would fall behind because they don’t have the neccery knowdge and would lose a lot intuition.
So it doesn’t matter if your teacher don’t say anything or you, cause when the time comes to showcase how you got those grades, they will fail, you will thrive.
Exception are rich kids and kids with connections.
Depends on what class this is. Regular high school classes, meh… Trying to become a nurse in college… report lol
Mind your business and focus on yourself. “When cheaters are winning?” If you think life is played fair you’re going to be in for a rude awakening.
They’re already smarter than you at life because they’ve found a way to get the results. Who says they haven’t studied? I used to study for exams but if I could cheat lord knows I defo would.
As long as you land that job with your good grades who cares how you got there. You’ll be the person working for your classmates with the mentality you have.
I don’t know why we take testing so seriously, like we won’t have resources in the world to utilize outside the classroom. Who cares if you or the next person use a phone during a test or ask a friend for help?
Seek validation through other means outside of meaningless tests. My advice is to mind your business.
Hey stop worrying about them. Ik getting mad is a way to relieve hatred for those getting it easy but just wait till they need a real job. They gonna work at McDonald’s or some other fast food joint. The second good colleges want them and they show their true skills they are going to be cooked
I think you’ve learned a valuable life lesson: lots of people don’t care and also don’t want to create drama.
Yes – you can follow the lead and start cheating yourself in this environment, but you won’t be in it forever and if you haven’t learned the necessary knowledge and skills for your next endeavours, or, learned how to be a really excellent cheater, you will come unstuck.
You should probably adopt the strategy that comes easiest for you and remember, if that’s cheating, then you always have to be anxious about one day getting found out.
The public school system already does little to prepare students for college let alone the real world. These cheaters aren’t going to get far.
I had a teacher who I thought ignored cheating, until I saw that my questions were different than another kids test. I think he just changed up the order of questions for everyone’s tests and didn’t mention it. So, the people who just copied the answers from their neighbors failed miserably.
Others cheating doesnt affect you. The teacher has probably given up on those students and they’ll go on to become nothing in life. Focus on yourself.
I left the school system maaaany years ago, but I once got accused of cheating as my answers were the same as a girl I sat next to.
I said I wasn’t cheating and asked for another test for both of us to do separate from each other. I passed that, she didn’t.
Cheating sucks, but they will get found out eventually
This teacher is there in your life only for a fixed time period. So when she goes, what’ll you do?
Most importantly, we study not just to get good grades but to learn things which help us in jobs et.
