Quick question: Can a company make my husband attend Zoom calls on his free days without pay?

Basically the title. Location: Florida.

My husband recently started a new job as a salesman. The company keeps making him join Zoom calls on his days off, and they don’t even pay him for it.

The calls are only about 45 minutes, and he doesn’t need to turn on his camera, but still. We watched the last one together while he was just in his underwear and we were cuddling in bed, lol. These meetings are super early in the morning.

I guess it’s easier for the company to schedule them this way since everyone works different shifts on different days. The company runs all week, and they also include people from other locations in the same call, so it’s probably hard to find a time that works for everyone.
