I (f23) found out my boyfriend (m24) had like 7 different nsfw adult chat reddit communities joined, i checked the creation date and alot of them were created after we started dating meaning he has to have joined them while we were dating, however he adamantly denies ever going on them and says he has no idea how they got there, they were all like nsfw “chatting” and “meetup” subreddits, should I believe him? I’m not really sure how reddit works so what’s the chances he’s telling the truth? We have been dating for a year and trust has been somewhat broken before

im calling B.S. on him on that one. You have to go in and click to join. He didnt just open his account one day and it randomly signed him up for stuff.
That’s concerning that he can’t take accountability for adult chats/ if he can’t admit something this minor then he might be hiding more than you think
He’s definitely trying to have sexual conversations with people, and he’s lying about it.
Reddit doesn’t randomly add you to chats, so he is lying.
I was going to say everyone has needs, but if they’re meetup and chatting subreddits, then it’s more than needs. Maybe he even trades nudes he has since it’s pretty known for these kind of subreddits (including yours if he has it). It could be good to check if he does.
So trust has been broken before, and now you’re asking if you should trust him in about how 7 subreddits just magically appeared in his memberships?
It really depends on you, of course, but I would at least not trust that these subreddits just got subscribed to automatically.
Sure subreddits get suggested, but joining them is a different story – and subreddits get suggested based on the algorithm aka what he’s been looking at before.
Trust is about owning if you’ve done something wrong, and will never be rebuilt by excuses and not taking responsibility.
I for one wouldn’t trust him on this. He wants to have his cake and eat it too is what it seems like.
