My gf is Venezuelan. Some of her family members have returned. No one supports Maduro. I see him being ousted in the next two years depending on how Ukraine-Russia negotiations go.

“Given the lack of better alternatives”

I’m not Venezuelan and not even close to one person who is Venezuelan, but is this actually serious?

Supporting Maduro is the worst thing anyone can do and if you follow the crisis in Venezuela , then you know how difficult it is for Venezuelans

Why would they support the tyrant dictator that made them leave Venezuela? Maduro is in power because he has been rigging every election since he took power. They didn’t leave Venezuela because they fancied living overseas. They left because they could die there, and if Venezuela was stable, most of them would never ever think about leaving the country.

Hopefully, someday Venezuela will get back on the tracks and be prosperous again.

The hate for Maduro is deeply entrenched. In fact Venezuelans will accept any alternative to Maduro. If you want to tarnish an opposition politician in front of the people’s eyes, just say they are allied with the government. The fact that Trump exists does not remove 26 years of crimes and injustices.

I don’t think so. I left Venezuela when I was still a minor so I didn’t vote, now I can vote but I didn’t really bother. I’d never vote for Maduro, but I’d also never vote for the Netanyahu -Musk girl fan lunatic that is leading the opposition lol
