23M, (UK if it matters) out of a relationship and now looking at finding another. I’m a pretty nerdy guy, I enjoy games a lot, play board games with friends and meet up for drinks. I joined a couple dating apps (yes i know it’s not ideal) to find girls who are into similar stuff but so far nothing back, but i have seen some girls i’d be into exactly.
I’m not really sure where I can meet them more naturally because i imagine the competition, or at least the number difference, for guys and girls in that group make it difficult to get seen.
I’m working on myself at the moment, i have a couple interests outside of games and such so that’s not exactly what i’m asking about. More so are there any good hotspots or certain hobbies/activities i can put myself in to meet some girl friends with similar interests and potentially date?

Well one thing is for sure… It won’t be on Reddit…
For nerdy stuff honestly just join hobby groups and make friends. There’s not loads of girls in nerdy spaces (as I am one) but there will be friends of friends as well. I’m involved in groups but I mainly am pretty solitary and I know a lot of the girls with these kind of hobbies are too.
Everywhere. A good place to start is specifically in conventions, groups, etc, for games, movies, and any kind of nerdy interest you might have.
Also, a lot of nerdy girls have many other hobbies, that s why I said you can meet them everywhere. My nerdy girl friends I met: hiking, guitar club, art club, prom of all places, theatre club, the gym, in a library, on reddit, on lol of all places. Me and my bf found each other on instagram because we liked each other’s nature photography.
Video game and comic book conventions. Book stores, cooking classes. Look for weird conventions like pottery, botany etc.
Nerdy girls are not in low demand anymore tho. Guys are after them so they are picky as well. So you still need to be worth their time.
It sounds like you’re already doing the right things. Some nerdy girl activities that may be less familiar to nerdy guys include the library / indie bookstores (they often have public book clubs), crafts (craft supply places, art center craft workshops, art gallery events), and nature nerd stuff (meetup hikes, guided nature hike/walk events, bird watching, etc.).
